Concordia will host a Fall Festival on Sunday, October 26 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Our goal is to provide a wholesome, family friendly celebration of the autumn season for our members, school families and community. This celebration will provide a perfect opportunity to demonstrate Concordia’s hospitality and to “Share His Love.”
We will provide hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, desserts and drinks. There will be cars positioned in the horseshoe drive for Trunk or Treat along with inflatables, fun games, popcorn, tattoos, possibly a petting zoo, along with contemporary Christian music, a “Story Tent” in which the Good News of Jesus will be shared with children in creative ways and a booth for information about Concordia and prayer.
- Sign up to be one of the Trunk or Treat cars to hand out candy. (Please no demonic decorations or celebrations of death.)
- Donate candy to supplement the trunk or treat cars. Buckets for candy will be placed in the narthex and transept.
- Supervise an inflatable.
- Orchestrate and direct one of the many children’s games (Ring toss, corn hole, tug of war, fishing pond, doughnut eating contest, spoon and egg race, etc.)
- Serve as the popcorn vender.
- Work with the trustees grilling hamburgers and hot dogs and maintaining drinks and desserts.
- Share a “Story Time” activity with the children.
- Represent Concordia at the information/prayer booth.
